Cookie Policy

Effective 25 October 2026  ·  Last updated 25 October 2026

The short version

DockFlip does not set cookies. It stores a few small settings in your browser, such as dark mode, and none of them is used for tracking or ads.

1. What are cookies?

Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device. Websites also use similar technologies, such as local storage, IndexedDB and cache storage, to remember settings or make a page work. In this policy, “cookies” includes these similar technologies.

2. What DockFlip uses

DockFlip does not set any cookies. It does use the browser storage below, which is needed for the site to work the way you expect. None of it is used for advertising or tracking.

NameTypePurposeDuration
cd_themeLocal storageRemembers whether you chose light or dark mode.Until you clear site data
cd_recentLocal storageRemembers the tools you used recently so you can get back to them quickly.Until you clear site data
cd_handoffIndexedDBTemporarily passes files you dropped on the homepage to the tool page. Files stay on your device.Removed on pick-up, or after 2 minutes
dockflip-models-v1Cache storageKeeps the AI model for the Background Remover so it is not downloaded again.Until you clear site data

3. Third-party requests

Our pages load fonts and libraries from other providers (Google Fonts, cdnjs, jsDelivr) and, for the Background Remover, a model file from Hugging Face. These providers receive your IP address and browser details, as with any request on the web, and are governed by their own policies. We do not use them to set cookies on DockFlip.

4. Advertising cookies (in future)

We may show ads in future, for example through Google AdSense. If we do, our ad partners may place cookies or use similar identifiers to serve, limit and measure ads and, where permitted, to personalise them. Before that happens we will update this policy and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent through a consent banner. You will be able to change your choice at any time.

To learn how Google uses data in this case, see how Google uses data when you use our partners’ sites, and manage ad personalisation in Google Ads Settings.

5. Your choices

You can delete DockFlip’s stored data at any time by clearing site data in your browser settings. Most browsers also let you block or delete cookies. If you do, the site keeps working, but your theme choice and recent tools will not be remembered.

6. Changes to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy, for example when we add ads or a new tool. The “Last updated” date above shows when it last changed. See also our Privacy Policy.
