Terms of Use

Effective 25 October 2026  ·  Last updated 25 October 2026

The short version

DockFlip is free and provided as is. You keep your files and are responsible for having the right to convert them. Please use the tools lawfully and do not abuse the site.

1. Accepting these terms

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the DockFlip website and tools (the “Service”). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

You must be old enough to form a binding contract where you live. If you are under 18, please use the Service with the involvement of a parent or guardian.

2. The Service

DockFlip provides free, browser-based tools to convert, compress, resize and combine images and PDFs. The tools run in your browser using your device’s resources. We may add, change, limit or remove tools or features at any time, with or without notice.

Some tools depend on your browser, device memory and internet connection (for example to load a library the first time). Limits such as file size (currently 100 MB per file) may apply and may change.

3. Your files and responsibilities

You keep all rights in the files you process. Because processing happens on your device, we do not receive, host or review your files.

You are responsible for your files and for how you use the output. You confirm that you have the right to use and convert the files you choose, and that doing so does not infringe anyone’s rights or break the law. Keep a copy of important originals; we recommend not relying on any tool as the only copy of your work.

4. Acceptable use

When using the Service you agree not to:

  • use it for anything unlawful, or to process content you have no right to use;
  • interfere with, overload or disrupt the website, its infrastructure or other people’s use of it;
  • scrape, crawl or automate heavy access in a way that harms performance;
  • attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service, or probe or test its security without our written permission;
  • copy, resell or republish the Service or its branding as your own product.

5. Intellectual property

The DockFlip name, logo, design, text and site code are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms give you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, revocable right to use the Service; they do not transfer any ownership to you.

The Service uses open-source libraries and models, which remain under their own licences.

6. Third-party services and links

The Service loads resources from third parties (such as content delivery networks and a model host) and may link to other websites. We do not control and are not responsible for third-party services, content or policies.

7. Advertising

We may display advertising in the future to support the Service. If we do, ads will be clearly separated from the tools and download buttons. We are not responsible for the content of third-party ads or for products or services you obtain through them.

8. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement. We do not promise that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free or secure, or that output will be of any particular quality. For example, converting between formats can change quality, colours, metadata or transparency, and the AI Background Remover may not give a perfect result on every image.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, DockFlip and the people who run it will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, files, profits or business, arising from your use of or inability to use the Service. Because the Service is free, our total liability for any claim relating to it is limited to the maximum extent the law allows.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under applicable law.

10. Indemnity

You agree to indemnify and hold DockFlip harmless from claims, losses and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your misuse of the Service, your files, or your breach of these Terms.

11. Suspension and termination

We may suspend or restrict access to the Service, in whole or in part, at any time, including if we reasonably believe you have breached these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time.

12. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will change the “Last updated” date above and, for material changes, make the change clear on the website. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.

13. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of India. Subject to any mandatory consumer rights you may have, the courts in India have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from these Terms or the Service.
