About Split PDF
Pull the pages you need out of a long PDF and save them as a new, smaller file. Enter a range such as 1-3, or individual pages such as 1,3,5. The work is done in your browser, so the document is not uploaded.
How to use this tool
- Choose a PDF file, or drag it onto the page.
- When asked, type the pages to extract, for example 1-3 or 1,3,5.
- Your new PDF downloads automatically.
Good to know
- You can mix ranges and single pages, separated by commas, such as 1-3,7,10-12.
- Pages outside the document are ignored. If none of the numbers are valid you will see a message.
- Password-protected PDFs may fail to open.
Frequently asked questions
Does it change the original PDF?
No. Your original file is untouched. The tool creates a new PDF with only the pages you chose.
Can I split a PDF into separate single-page files?
Not in one step. This tool extracts one selection of pages per run. For single pages as images, use PDF to JPG.
Are my files uploaded anywhere?
No. Your file is processed in your browser and its contents are not sent to DockFlip. The first time you use a tool, your browser may download the conversion library it needs from a public CDN (cdnjs or jsDelivr), but that download does not include your file.
Is DockFlip free?
Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no cap on how many files you convert. The only limits are file size (100 MB per file) and what your device can handle in memory. Ads may be added later to cover running costs.
Why might a conversion fail?
The file may be damaged, in a format your browser cannot read, password-protected, or too large for your device’s memory. Try one file at a time, or a smaller file, and make sure you have a connection the first time so the converter can load.
