About SVG to PNG

SVG is a vector format that scales to any size, but many upload forms, documents and social platforms only accept bitmap images. This tool renders your SVG and saves it as a PNG, with transparency preserved, directly in your browser.

How to use this tool

  1. Choose your SVG files or drop them onto the page.
  2. Wait for the PNG preview to appear.
  3. Download the PNG.

Good to know

  • The PNG is drawn at the SVG’s own width and height. If you need a different size, convert it here and then use Resize Image.
  • For safety, SVG files that contain scripts or event handlers are blocked. Only convert files you trust.
  • A PNG is a fixed-size image, so it will not stay sharp if you enlarge it much later.

Frequently asked questions

Why was my SVG blocked?

SVG files can contain scripts. To keep you safe, files with active content such as script tags or event handlers are rejected. Remove that content and try again.

Is the PNG background transparent?

Yes, if the SVG itself has no background. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PNG.

Are my files uploaded anywhere?

No. Your file is processed in your browser and its contents are not sent to DockFlip. The first time you use a tool, your browser may download the conversion library it needs from a public CDN (cdnjs or jsDelivr), but that download does not include your file.

Is DockFlip free?

Yes. There is no signup, no watermark and no cap on how many files you convert. The only limits are file size (100 MB per file) and what your device can handle in memory. Ads may be added later to cover running costs.

Why might a conversion fail?

The file may be damaged, in a format your browser cannot read, password-protected, or too large for your device’s memory. Try one file at a time, or a smaller file, and make sure you have a connection the first time so the converter can load.
